 Hey all,

One thing that has been personally bothering me for a very long time on this wiki is the listing of the test drivers within the Entry List tables on the season's articles. I believe the listing of the test drivers can make the tables look messy and unorganised if more than two drivers are listed in the article ( hence, I assume was the reasoning behind making test drivers hidden if there were more than two to a team ).

Therefore I propose doing something similar to what Wikipedia has done recently and completely scrap the entire test driver collumn from all the entry list tables. However unlike Wikipedia I still believe it necessary to list and make mention of the 2013 Formula One test drivers, rather I think it best to reformat the display of them on the page. Instead of having them in the season entry list, I thought it worth creating an entirely new table for test drivers and their involvement in developing or driving Formula One cars throughout the season. I believe this format is better, not only because it makes the entry list look more organised but also because it clearly lists the involvement of the test driver for the team.

Another issue with the current formatting of test drivers is that it does not list what exactly the driver's involvement was within the team. Reader's will assume that all test drivers were reserve drivers as the current formatting suggests that is so, when it is undoubtedbly false. The benefit of this formatting is that it clearly labels the drivers involvement in the season, telling the reader whether they were reserves, one-off tests or apart of the young driver programme, making the data relating to test drivers much more accurate.

If the design is approved, then I will place this example in the 2013 season, probably above the testing table where it would be most appropriate. I will then begin developing tables for previous seasons.

Test Drivers

The table displays drivers who had driven modern Formula One machinery for their respective teams, through methods such as race simulators, on-track tests and demonstration runs between the beginning of the 2013 pre-season, beginning on the 26th November 2012 and concluding on the 24th November 2013.
