I'm going to the 2017 British Grand Prix, everyone! And it'll be the first time I go to a Formula One Grand Prix!
Now, since I will be at the race, I won't be able to update the stats and results on the wiki until I return home, so unless someone else does them, you will all have to wait until I get back and update the stats and results.
Sounds like fun. Be prepared for hours in traffic, big crowds and not being able to move around much. Plus I believe that there is some sort of UN mandate that you have to spend all of your money there.
I can update everything after Silverstone again, but there were some templates that I couldn't figure out after Montreal, so you and I will have to chat about them. Will49 (talk) 01:28, June 23, 2017 (UTC)Read more >
The qualifying was both interesting and disappointing. The mixed weather conditions made me interested with some of the slow cars temporarily being in the top ten or in the top three in the first two sessions, like Sergio Pérez, Nico Hülkenberg, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Nasr being in the top four for the first start of Q1 along with Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton both being in the knockout zone at the time. Now, I know that I am a fan of Hamilton, but I imagined that if qualifying could not be restarted at all, it would have been interesting. Of course, it was restarted because of the rain easing, but I was still glad that Hamilton went out of the knockout zone. I even liked how Nasr was fastest in the second restart of Q1 while the tra…Read more >
After watching the qualifying, I was really enthusiastic with Lewis Hamilton getting pole position, plus Nico Rosberg falling down to sixth thanks to his five-place grid penalty for an unscheduled gearbox change due to his crash in FP3, which it would mean no repeat of Rosberg taking the lead from Hamilton like in the 2015 Austrian Grand Prix, and a bigger chance of Hamilton winning. Plus, thanks to Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel's five-place grid penalties, I was happy by that 's Nico Hülkenberg and 's Jenson Button completed the top three.
In the race, I really liked seeing Button near the front on the formation lap and on the grid, and the same with Hülkenberg. Though I was devastated that Hülkenberg fell to fourth at the first corner, I w…Read more >
As a lot of Formula 1 video game players already know, Codemasters had announced in late May that they are releasing F1 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Although I do not have a PS4 or Xbox One, I am interested by its features, like the return of the safety car and Career mode, the addition of the virtual safety car, the Baku City Circuit being included, and the ability for players to choose their avatar, car number and helmet in career mode. What I am really hoping for is that the avatars in Career mode include female avatars, because I think this will increase the number of female players playing F1 games. Additionally, I am hoping the game has split screen mode/local two-player mode, as it appeared in games starting from F1 201…Read more >
The 2016 Chinese Grand Prix was good, just that I do believe it was a bit exciting for Lewis Hamilton to progress through the race from last pace, although I thought that if it were not for Felipe Nasr colliding with him when trying to avoid Kimi Räikkönen on the first lap, Hamilton would have made up a few more spaces if his car's undercarriage was not damaged by his broken front wing. In fact, if he did win from last place, I would have deemed it as one of my favourite races. However, I thought that the safety car did help him catch up to the rest of the drivers, and still had Nasr, Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean to battle with after he and all of those drivers pitted for new front wings on the first lap. Also, I was very interested by Fe…Read more >
