8 Kevin Magnussen confirms he will race with the number 20 on his car in 2014. The same number he used in 2013 when he won the Formula Renault 3.5 championship.
Line-up is published for Felipe Massa's annual karting event, The Challenge of the Stars to take place on the 10th-12th January. Also attending is Jules Bianchi as well as former F1 racers Sébastien Buemi, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Lucas di Grassi, Bruno Senna, Nelson Piquet, Rubens Barrichello, Luciano Burti, Ricardo Zonta and Antônio Pizzonia.
Caterham announces that it will unveil its 2014 challenger at the first test at Jerez on the 28th January.

13 Williams announces that the Williams FW36 will be ready for Jerez. Furthermore the team announces that Jakob Andreason joins the team as Head of Engineering Operations, Craig Wilson joins as Head of Vehicle Dynamics and Rod Nelson joins as Chief Test & Support Engineer. Max Nightingale is promoted to Head of Vehicle Science.
14 Max Chilton announces his permanent race number as number 4.
Kimi Räikkönen begins his first day of work as an official Ferrari race driver since returning to the team. He would begin a three day programme in the Maranello race simulator.
