Robert Józef Kubica (born December 7th 1984 in Kraków, Poland) is a former Formula One racing driver who competed from 2006 to 2010 for BMW Sauber and Renault. Kubica has won one race, the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix, becoming the first Polish driver to win a race, and twelve podium positions.

Kubica raced in rally after a serious injury in 2011, also recovering from his serious injuries. While Kubica has not ruled out a return to F1, the prospect of doing so following such serious injuries is doubtful. However, on 6 June 2017, he drove the Lotus E20 at a test run by Renault at Circuit Ricardo Tormo,[1] and went fourth fastest in the Renault R.S.17 at the 2017 Budapest test.[2][3]

As part of the Polish driver's recuperation, Kubica has competed in a number of minor rallying competitions, including victory in the Ronde Gomitolo Di Lana in Italy.
