Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, usually shortened to Porsche AG, is a German automobile manufacturer specializing in high-performance cars and engines. Based in Stuttgart, it is reputed to be the world's largest and most successful racing car manufacturer.

Porsche cars competed in Formula One from 1957 through 1964, using either Flat-4 or Flat-8 engines, all of which were air-cooled. Their only championship victory was in the 1962 French Grand Prix, driven by Dan Gurney.
