Peter Sauber (born 13 October 1943) is the former team principal of the Sauber team. He founded the team in 1993, got his first podium in 1995, and began to step back from day to day running of the team in 2012, as Monisha Kaltenborn took his place as the team boss.

At the time of the announcement of Longbow Finance S.A. buying the team in 2016, Peter confirmed that he would retire from every role in the team.[1]
