Paul Allen is a British cameraman at Formula One events. He suffered minor injuries after he was struck by the flying wheel of Mark Webber at the 2013 German Grand Prix.
German Grand Prix incident[]
Allen was in the Mercedes section of the pits during Red Bull's pit stop when Webber's wheel, which was improperly screwed on, came off and knocked Allen to the ground. He was left with a broken shoulder and cracked ribs as a result. Remaining conscious, he was treated at the circuit's medical centre and transported by helicopter to Koblenz Hospital. Thankfully, Allen managed to fully recover from his injuries. A stewards' investigation into Red Bull's unsafe release was held after the race and the World Champions were handed a €30,000 fine.
