Patrick Bruce Reith "Pat" Symonds (born 11 June 1953) is a British motor racing engineer. He was the Chief Technical Officer at Williams Grand Prix Engineering, from 2013 until 2016,[1][2] having previously worked at the Benetton, Renault and Virgin Formula One teams.
In 2008, following the Crashgate scandal involving the Renault team, he was suspended from Formula One events for 5 years, whilst Flavio Briatore was banned indefinitely. At the end of his suspension, Symonds returned in 2013 at Williams, becoming its Chief technical officer.
