Michael Mario Andretti (born October 5, 1962 in Bethlehem, PA, USA) is a retired American racing driver, the son of 1978 World Champion Mario Andretti, whose first name Michael adopted as his middle name.

Michael drove for McLaren for the first 13 rounds of 1993, before being replaced by Mika Häkkinen for the rest of the season shortly after scoring his first podium in the Italian Grand Prix. Michael was the last American to race in Formula One for 13 years, until Scott Speed made his debut at the 2006 Bahrain Grand Prix. Michael is also the last American to date to score points and finish on an F1 podium.

His own son, Marco Andretti, currently races in the IndyCar series and has tested a Formula One car.
