Nelson Ângelo Tamsma Piquet Souto Maior, better known as Nelson Piquet, Jr. (PEE-kay; born 25 July 1985 in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany) is a former Formula One driver who competed in the 2008 and 2009 seasons for Renault. Piquet lost his drive midway through the 2009 season in the aftermath of the Crashgate scandal in which Piquet was found guilty of intentionally crashing in order to improve the chances of his team-mate, Fernando Alonso at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.

He also raced in Formula E from 2014 to 2019, where he became the series' inaugural champion.

Piquet Jr is the son of three-time World Champion, Nelson Piquet.
