For his uncle, see Jacques Villeneuve, Sr.

Jacques Joseph Charles Villeneuve (jack VILL-nerve; born 9 April 1971 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian Formula One driver, who won the 1997 Formula One World Championship, the 1995 Indianapolis 500, and he is the son of legendary Ferrari driver, Gilles Villeneuve and nephew of Jacques Villeneuve, Sr.

After being dropped by BMW Sauber in 2006, Villeneuve briefly raced in what was then the N.A.S.C.A.R. Nextel Cup, a US oval based touring car series. He now races the FIA's World Rallycross Championship.

Villeneuve has also ventured into music, so far releasing one album, Private Paradise and one single Accepterais-tu, but has had no success so far.

At the 1996 Australian Grand Prix, Villeneuve became only the 5th driver in F1 history to score pole position on début.

The 1999 Formula One Season was his worst yet - he signed for the brand-new BAR team, retired from the first 11 races of the season and in half of them qualified no lower than sixth. The only other time he didn't score in an F1 season was in 2004, where he took part in the last 3 races for Renault after Jarno Trulli was sacked, despite the Italian winning for them in Monaco.

To this day, Villeneuve remains the last non-European driver to win a World Championship and the last World Champion to be disqualified from a race en route to his title. His title was also Williams' most recent to date.
