The Ferrari 156 was a series of two Formula One cars used by Scuderia Ferrari (amongst others) between 1961 and 1964. The first generation "Sharknose" Dino 156, which debuted in 1961, contributed 5 wins towards Ferrari's victory in the 1961 Constructors' World Championship and led Phil Hill to the 1961 Drivers' World Championship. The second generation 156 Aero was introduced in 1963 but was less successful than its predecessor, scoring only one win in 1963 and one win in 1964.
In 1961, a Ferrari Dino 156 was involved in a major accident at Monza which killed driver Wolfgang von Trips and fifteen spectators.
