The 2006 Spanish Grand Prix (officially XLVIII Gran Premio Telefonica de Espana) was race number 6 of the 2006 Formula One Season. It took place at the Circuit de Catalunya on May 14 2006. The race was won by Renault F1 driver Fernando Alonso with Michael Schumacher for Scuderia Ferrari in second and Giancarlo Fisichella of Renault F1 in third.
