The second Barcelona test of the 2003 pre-season was a one day test that saw the attendance of Ferrari, Jaguar, BAR and Jordan. It was one of three major tests held on that day alongside the 2003 Valencia Test 1 and the 2003 Paul Ricard Test 1.

The second Barcelona Test of the 2003 pre-season occurred over a single day, one of three Formula One tests thats occured on the 21st January alongside tests in Paul Ricard and in Valencia. The Barcelona test saw the attendance of the Ferrari, Jordan, Jaguar and BAR teams.
Ferrari race drivers Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello got their first opportunity to drive the car in the new year, alongside test driver Luca Badoer in the test. The reigning world champion did not start the new year according to plan, Schumacher spinning his Ferrari into the tire barriers, damaging the rear wing of his car. Schumacher, however was able to make a return to the pits and repair his car before the afternoon session.
The Barcelona test was the first opportunity for the Jaguar team to test their new Jaguar R4 chassis, with Mark Webber and Antônio Pizzonia behind the wheel. Giancarlo Fisichella continued to test the new Jordan chassis, the EJ13 in the interim all-black livery. Jacques Villeneuve and test driver Anthony Davidson tested for BAR in the new 005 chassis.
