The 1970 Italian Grand Prix was held at Monza on September 6. Clay Regazzoni won the race in a Ferrari, followed by Jackie Stewart in a March-Ford and Jean-Pierre Beltoise in a Matra. The weekend was marred by yet another death: this time it was championship leader Jochen Rindt in a crash at the Parabolica curve on Saturday. The Year Of Death had captured the ultimate victim.

Practice Overview Edit

QualifyingEdit

There were 27 entries, but the organizers would only allow 20 starters, so practice was a bit of a scramble.
