The 1955 Swiss Grand Prix was an event of the 1955 World Championship which was scheduled to be held at Circuit Bremgarten on August 21 1955. The event was cancelled in the wake of the 1955 Le Mans disaster, in which more than 80 spectators, and driver Pierre Levegh, were killed. To this day auto racing is outlawed within Switzerland, except for 100% electrically powered cars which have been allowed since 2017.
